Energy Commodity Buyer (m/f/d)

Location: Hannover, HQ Office, Germany.
Responsibilities
* Develop, support and implement negotiation strategy for energy products and services at a regional level.
* Analyze energy consumption and develop strategic plans to increase efficiency and ensure supply security.
* Evaluate/select energy suppliers, negotiate, interpret and execute energy contracts (electricity, gas, renewables) and energy‑related contracts for Clarios with emphasis on cost, quality, terms, and service necessary to meet requirements.
* Ensure compliance with legal requirements and sustainability targets in energy procurement. Integrate and support processes that optimally cover the organization’s energy needs.
* Collaborate with internal departments (EHS, Sustainability, Finance) and external partners.
* Monitor energy market trends, prices, and regulatory developments and integrate in procurement strategies.
* Develop and maintain budgets and standard costs for energy procurement.
* Identify and implement process and tool improvements for strategic and operational energy procurement.
Qualifications
* Commercial or technical education, ideally with a focus on energy.
* Several years of experience in professional energy procurement or a comparable role.
* Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex contracts.
* Solid knowledge of purchasing practices, the energy sector, and relevant laws and regulations.
* Proficiency in SAP and MS Office (mandatory); experience with e‑procurement applications is a plus.
* Fluent in English; German is highly desirable.
