Your responsibilities
* Support the team in collecting, organizing, and updating data on biofuel feedstocks and production technologies across global regions.
* Assist in researching and structuring information on biofuel pathways, production processes, and relevant regulatory frameworks.
* Contribute to the development of a supply potential model by helping prepare inputs, assumptions, and basic model logic.
* Support the creation of clear model outputs, dashboards, and summaries that visualize biofuel supply and production potential.
* Help prepare presentations, documentation, and short analyses for internal stakeholders involved in the project.
* Collaborate with team members in Market Analytics and Innovation Radar to ensure consistency and smooth progress across workstreams.
Your profile
Required
* Enrolled student (Bachelor or Master phase) in:
o Economics, Engineering, Energy and Resource Economics, Environmental Science, Mathematics or a related fields.
* Strong analytical thinking and ability to work independently.
* Solid proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially excel
* Skills in Python data processing or modelling.
* Interest in energy markets, renewable fuels, and decarbonization technologies.
Preferred
* First experience or strong interest in topics such as:
o Energy system modelling,
o Biofuels,
o EU energy regulation (RED II/III, quotas, sustainability criteria).
* Experience with techno‑economic analyses (cost structures, yield calculations etc.).
* Ability to translate complex technical content into clear insights.
* It is expected that at least one day a week could be worked in our offices in Düsseldorf
