About the Opportunity
An international engineering and industrial client is seeking an experienced Lead Engineer Equipment to support a major investment project within the chemical process industry in Germany.
The role focuses on coordination and supervision of equipment and machinery engineering activities during the Basic Engineering (FEL 3) phase, with potential extension into Detail Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and supervise equipment and machinery engineering activities
* Ensure compliance with project schedules, quality standards, and technical specifications
* Develop and optimize engineering specifications based on current project requirements
* Coordinate with engineering partners, suppliers, manufacturers, and internal stakeholders
* Support procurement processes including technical bid evaluations and supplier coordination
* Review technical documentation, calculations, drawings, inspection plans, and maintenance manuals
* Monitor supplier progress and perform expediting activities to ensure schedule adherence
* Interface with civil, piping, process, instrumentation/control, and electrical engineering disciplines
1. Requirements
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or similar
* Extensive experience within the chemical process industry
* Strong background in equipment and machinery engineering
* Experience within large industrial investment projects
* Knowledge of German and European engineering standards
* Strong understanding of welding and material engineering
* Fluent German and English skills
* Ability to work on-site in Germany
