Role Overview:
The Project Procurement Manager will be responsible for leading procurement activities across complex automotive programs, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of components, services, and technologies. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain, as well as external suppliers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Procurement Leadership:
Lead procurement strategy and execution for assigned automotive projects from concept through to production.
* Supplier Management:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers; manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost targets are met.
* Cost Optimisation:
Drive cost reduction initiatives and value engineering opportunities in collaboration with engineering and finance teams.
* Contract Negotiation:
Negotiate commercial terms, contracts, and service level agreements with suppliers in alignment with corporate policies.
* Risk Management:
Assess and mitigate supply chain risks; develop contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
* Stakeholder Engagement:
Act as the procurement point of contact for project teams, providing updates, insights, and strategic guidance.
* Compliance & Reporting:
Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements. Provide regular reporting on procurement KPIs and project milestones.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
* Minimum 2-3 years of procurement experience, ideally within the automotive or manufacturing sector.
* Proven track record in project-based procurement and supplier negotiations.
* Strong understanding of automotive components, technologies, and global supply chains.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Ariba) and project management tools.
