Who will you be joining?
Global Sustainability is a team in Allianz SE (the holding company of Allianz group) which provides thought leadership and steering for ESG-related topics and drives business integration of sustainability across Allianz lines of business and operating entities.
Within Global Sustainability, the team "social regulation and business" develops business propositions and public-private partnerships for social impact together with relevant Allianz entities
* leads strategic work on climate adaptation
* leads on global implementation of human rights due diligence, especially in own operations and supply chain
* advises relevant functions on all social regulatory topics, including those related to CSRD and CSDDD implementation
* looks after other sustainability ratings and NGO dialogues
How can you make an impact?
* Support the further development and implementation of human rights related due diligence across Allianz Group in particular in relation to the German and European Supply Chain Acts (LkSG, CSDDD)
* Support our team in project management-related activities as well as preparing research, presentations and reports
* Support on reporting based on CSRD (ESRS-S1-4)
* Support on other tasks, for example related to sustainability ratings
* Be an integral member of the Global Sustainability team, with plenty of learning opportunities
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications
* Currently enrolled as a Masters or PhD student and residing in Germany during the full duration of the internship (6 months)
* Studies in law, sustainability, social sciences or other relevant subject
* Prior knowledge about business and human rights and / or relevant EU legislation is a plus
* Excellent communication skills (verbal, written) in English; knowledge of German is highly welcome
* Advanced knowledge of MS Office 365 (Teams, Excel, Power Point, Word, Outlook)
* Flexibility, can-do attitude and independence
* Analytical and software skills
* Organizational and time-management skills
* Enthusiastic team player
* Ideally you have already gained first practical experience in the fields of finance, sustainability, project management, or consulting
