About your team
The Team “Core Platform Application” support our core banking system. We are responsible for the smooth running and system operation and for the 2nd level support.
About your role
In this role you will be responsible for the management of the core banking system of FIL Fondsbank GmbH. You take care of the permanent enhancements and the maintenance of the application as well as the improvement of the underlying infrastructure. This also includes challenging aspects like performance testing and optimization to meet system scaleability goals and the ambition of our growing business.
The role covers the main aspects of the software lifecycle starting with test conception and management, production role-outs up to ongoing production support and incident management. For achieving, you will make use of our modern test and releasemanagement toolset (JIRA, Confluence and ServiceNOW) as well as our CI/CD toolset (Github). Besides your day to day “business as usual” tasks, you are also working in projects.
About you
Key Responsibilities
1. Technical ownership of core banking system
2. Act as central contact point for the business teams, software vendors and technical teams for all aspects within the core banking system
3. Ensure stable application operation including production environment as well as non-production systems
4. Ensure secure application operation by addressing vulnerability and patch management
5. Manage the main aspects of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from testing, software role-out up to ongoing production operation and incident management
6. 2nd level support: anaylsis of potential incidents and close collaboration with the external software vendor
7. The role also includes weekend on call duty (usually Saturdays)
Experience and Qualifications Required
Must have:
8. solid experience as application manager of a core banking system or equivalent (mission-critical) applications
9. passion for Technology servicing rapidly changing requirements
10. good knowledge of Unix and some basic knowledge of container technologies - especially with Podman
11. good knowledge of Windows Systems
12. very good analytical and problem resolution skills
13. ability to communicate effectively in German and English language (both written and oral)
14. strong team player
15. passion to learn and continuously grow
Preferable Skills are:
16. Knowledge in Unix and Windows
17. Knowledge in container technologies and CI/CD technologies (i.e. Podman, Github, Bitbucket, …)
18. Experience with collaboration tools Atlassian JIRA and ServiceNOW
