As part of our growing offshore organization, we're looking for a passionate and experienced Head of HQSSE Offshore to lead our commitment to Health, Quality, Safety, Security, and Environmental excellence across major offshore projects. In this role, you’ll not only ensure compliance and performance—you’ll define what safety means for the future of offshore construction. You will play a critical part in shaping our safety vision from day one, including the development and implementation of a Safety Letter —a personal leadership message that clearly communicates our shared expectations, safety mindset, and behavioral standards across all project partners and supply chains. Act as the key driver of HQSE strategy across offshore project phases—preparation, execution, commissioning. Take full responsibility for offshore HSE performance, culture, and continuous improvement across multiple stakeholders and contractors. Develop and introduce a Safety Letter for offshore projects that sets expectations, demonstrates leadership commitment, and fosters accountability. Be a visible leader—on-site, in meetings, and across the organization—to promote a proactive safety mindset. Guide internal teams and contractors in building a robust offshore safety culture aligned with industry best practices and legal frameworks. Lead incident and near-miss reporting processes, ensuring learnings are applied and shared. Ensure full regulatory compliance and alignment with client-specific HSE expectations. Coordinate with joint venture leadership, client representatives, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth project execution from a safety and quality perspective. Oversee contractor performance and engagement from kick-off through completion, with a strong focus on offshore risk management and site discipline. Degree in HSE, Safety Engineering, Mechanical/Process Engineering, or a comparable technical background. 5 years in a senior HSE or HQSSE role within the offshore wind, oil & gas, or heavy marine construction sectors. Deep knowledge of offshore regulations, standards, and contractor management practices. Experience leading large, multi-contractor teams with complex risk profiles. Strong track record in initiating safety culture programs (e.g. safety charters, letters, leadership coaching). Auditor qualification desirable. Fluent in English; German or other European languages are a plus. Strong leadership presence, communication skills, and cultural awareness. Willingness to travel and visit offshore sites regularly.
