Synpulse8 is the software engineering arm of the Synpulse Group, a consulting company focused on the financial services industry.
For our office in Ulm, we are currently looking for a motivated and structured Software Engineer & Site Lead (m/f/d) to join us at the earliest possible date. In the mid‑term, this role is intended to develop into a position as Chief Technical Officer of Synpulse8 Deutschland GmbH.
Job Requirements
Your profile
* Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification gained through practical experience
* At least 10 years of experience in software engineering or solution architecture, for example as a software architect or technical lead in software development
* Strong technical understanding of complex IT systems and the design of interfaces between systems
* Solid experience with modern technology stacks such as event‑driven systems, microservices, APIs, and DevSecOps
* Industry experience in financial services, ideally with banks and insurance companies
* Experience working in agile environments and a strong understanding of how to deliver software projects successfully
* Strong analytical and structuring skills, combined with an independent, reliable, and goal‑oriented way of working
* Pragmatic, hands‑on, and execution‑focused mindset in technical project environments
* Confident communication skills in English (minimum B2); German is a plus
* Team‑oriented personality with strong leadership capabilities
Job Responsibilities
Your responsibilities
* Support the technical leadership of software projects from initial concept through implementation and into ongoing operations
* Make sound architectural decisions, evaluate technologies, and respond quickly to technical or organizational challenges
* Review code quality, software design, and security aspects, while guiding technical project leads
* Oversee deliverables, coordinate tasks, and drive solutions for issues that arise during project execution
* Take responsibility, together with the Group CTO, for the further development and maintenance of our software stack "Pulse8"
* Act as a trusted and communicative partner for clients on technical topics, fostering professional exchange and building credibility through a confident presence
