In Kempen we are looking for a Stockhandler Logistics (m/w/d)
Role overview:
Responsible for shipping and packing materials, assisting freight carriers and coordinating transport services to other departments. The role works under a limited supervision and some contact with external suppliers and customers; involves serving as CT representative during inspections and in need of coordination of shipping schedules.
Your Tasks:
* Assembling of crates intended for items packing;
* Checking materials to ensure that they match purchase and sales orders;
* Counting of materials, parts, or products received or shipped;
* Preparing of shipping / stock labels;
* Preparing bills of lading and shipping orders to route materials;
* Physical transportation of items in the different areas of the plant;
* Unloading, unpacking and receiving incoming shipments;
* Preparing export documentation for international shipments, including posting export declarations;
* Recording shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes;
* Submitting discrepancy reports when problems are found;
* Performing special packaging and following shipment instructions based on customer requests. Using Microsoft Business Central as a tool for daily business operations.
* Assisting freight carriers during expedite shipments;
* Communicating with carriers to exchange information regarding products, materials, services, and other shipping/receiving information;
* Determining shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates;
* Evaluation of shipping procedures for shipments sent/received internationally against international shipping regulations;
* Maintaining and updating shipping department instruction manuals and operating instructions;
* Promoting teamwork within the organization.
Requirements:
* Secondary school diploma or equivalent required;
* Forklift driver’s license;
* Logistic knowledge for global shipments;
* Experience with ERP system (preferably Microsoft Business Central) would be a plus.
