About the Role
Group Investment Management (GIM) manages the proprietary Munich Re and ERGO investment portfolio of around €240bn. The Tactical Asset Allocation (TAA) department determines the tactical asset allocation for the entire Munich Re Group, building and updating granular TAA strategies based on the long-term strategic allocation (SAA) and market conditions. The department combines expertise across liquid asset classes, employing quantitative and qualitative methods to optimize the investment portfolio.
As an Investment Manager in the Fixed Income section, you will operate in a challenging and dynamic capital markets environment, contributing to the team’s success.
Your Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain quantitative models for market analysis and forecasting, focusing on credit and emerging markets.
* Evaluate and develop proprietary investment ideas, strategies, and solutions.
* Enhance and maintain the TAA’s market analytics infrastructure, integrating new data sources.
* Collaborate with the TAA team to improve the efficiency of investment portfolios, balancing investment considerations with financial objectives.
* Contribute to consolidating risk/return profiles of various asset classes with market professionals.
* Share analysis and judgments with the Munich Re Group’s investment community and committees.
Your Profile
* Strong knowledge and passion for financial markets, with a commitment to professional excellence and continuous learning.
* Excellent programming skills (preferably Python) and strong knowledge of statistical methods and data analytics.
* Innovative thinker and structured problem solver.
* Strong presentation and communication skills, fluency in English.
* Experience managing Life & Health portfolios and knowledge of German GAAP products/strategies is advantageous.
* Advanced degree in a technical field and at least two years of relevant work experience.
