Tasks:
* Independent design and development of semi-automated processes and scripts within Autodesk 3DSMax and Adobe Substance Painter to optimize the costs and time required for modeling and configuration processes
* Ensuring compliance with quality standards for digital content on Team City (analyzing log files in the event of generation errors, verifying the cause, preparing and submitting a problem report and repro case to the responsible developers or external providers)
Independent development, creation of specifications, and design of simple raw data processing processes, including for the partial automation of database generation and the modeling workflow through the use of tools such as Feature Manipulation Engine (FME), taking into account various source data formats (e.g., Common Database (CDB),
* OpenStreetMap (OSM), CITYGML, OpenDrive (ODR), CAD, etc.) for further use by content creators.
* Independent creation of digital content, e.g.:
* 3D models and configuration through improved automated processes
* Databases for visual and control data through the use of, for example, TRIAN3DBuilder
* Ensuring that various extensive technical requirements and data formats of the simulators from the individual business sections are taken into account
* Source data preparation (e.g., electronic navigational charts, vector data, aerial photographs, CAD data) and processing using, for example, ENC Designer, Autodesk 3dsMax, partly according to specifications
* Implementation of technical requirements management for customers, as well as internal and external stakeholders for digital content
Support in the development of comprehensive solution concepts, taking into account the technical framework conditions of the respective target system
* Supporting the group leader in the preparation of quotations by naming and estimating work packages and, if necessary, filling in the scope of supply and the technical quotation description for digital content
* Provision and integration of digital content on the target system/IT tool
* Technical contact and coordinator for Content Creator Level 1 and Level 2
* Participation in internal reviews and audits
* Market review, analysis, and introduction of new technologies to improve and increase automation of the modeling and configuration workflow, database generation workflow, and geodata workflow with a focus on time and cost optimization
* Support in negotiating technical content with customers, partners, and UANs
* Conducting customer training courses and workshops for digital content
* Support in handling customer support requests received via the DBGS support mail account
Requirements:
* Completed bachelor's degree: Geodata Science, Geoinformatics, alternatively Media Informatics with several years of professional experience or comparable subject-specific professional experience and further training
* Very good knowledge of GIS tools (ArcGIS, FME, Global Mapper)
* Very good knowledge of TRIAN3DBuilder and Max Scripting
* Very good knowledge of Adobe Substance
* Experience in working with data formats such as Step, ENC, OSM, and CityGML
* Experience in working with subcontractors and conducting customer training
* Very good understanding of the functionality and technical fundamentals of
* 3D real-time applications
* Very good written and spoken English, especially technical English
* Creative and conceptual strength in the development and implementation of solutions for technical problems
* Very good communication and teamwork skills
* Willingness to travel worldwide
