Your mission Ableton is looking for an IT operations engineer to assist with the administration and maintenance of our small to medium-sized Linux and Windows-based server and network environment. Our infrastructure is located both on-premises and in the cloud, which requires regular maintenance and a constant effort to understand ever-evolving cloud-based technologies. We use Azure to power most of our enterprise service infrastructure and use VMware to power our virtualization needs; we also employ on-premises server and storage systems, which we maintain in conjunction with Dell/EMC. We are advocates of treating infrastructure as code, using version control, and also monitoring as much of our infrastructure as possible. You will join a unit dedicated to creating a supportive, secure and sustainable IT landscape for Ableton. Your responsibilities You maintain and continuously improve the status quo of IT systems at Ableton You ensure IT systems are running smoothly and are compliant with security standards You act as a security and technical consultant for projects driven by various Ableton teams You keep our documentation up to date and share your knowledge within the team You interact with vendors and consultants in both German and English You organize your work following our rituals and guidelines Your profile You have at least 5 years experience in managing user accounts across multiple Identity Providers, connecting cloud services and web applications (e.g. SSO, SCIM, OAuth2, SAML) As a fan of automation, you apply your experience in provisioning, configuring and maintaining systems in a programmatical fashion alongside version control concepts (e.g. PowerShell, Terraform, Ansible, Git) You have strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and services, on-premises and in the Cloud (e.g. Windows Servers, GPOs, Active Directory, Hybrid setup) You are experienced with virtualized infrastructure environments and their setup and operations (e.g. VMware vSphere, Nutanix, Proxmox, in multi-host setups, storage networks (FC and iSCSI), Veeam BR) You are knowledgable of IT networking technologies and protocols as well as designing, maintaining, monitoring and securing network infrastructure (e.g. Firewalls, VPN, DNS, DHCP, SMTP, VLANs, Switches, WiFi networks) Your application If you like the sound of this role, please apply with the following documents and information: CV (without a picture) About us Here at Ableton, we come from a wide range of cultural and professional backgrounds.
