Site Inspectors (m/f/d)
to support the
BalWin 1 & 2
project, starting in
February 2026
, for an estimated duration till
June 2029
. This freelance role is
onshore & offshore based
in
Verdal, Norway
, operating
Monday to Friday schedule
(Half- or Full-day based on project needs) with physical presence on site until "Sail Away".

Your Tasks
* Supervision of the fabrication of two offshore jackets over a 3+ year period
* Acting as Second Party representative on behalf of the client (TÜV SÜD)
* Inspection execution according to ITP:
* 100% attendance at Witness and Hold Points
* 25% coverage of Monitoring and Review Points
* Oversight of welding and structural assembly activities
* Participation in installation, commissioning, and functional testing (e.g. gripper systems)
* On-site setup and inspection readiness (workspace provided by project)
* Review of as-built documentation
* Participation in coordination meetings and safety walks
* Escalation of risks and technical issues to TÜV SÜD Technical Lead / Project Management
* Contribution to lessons learned and process improvement
* Support with local regulations and standards (focus on German requirements)
* Preparation of project documentation and reports:
* Inspection and anomaly reports via Dalux
* Progress reports, punch lists, non-conformities
* Final site reports (Plant ⇒ Unit ⇒ Line / Equipment)
* HSE reports (Health, Safety, Environment)
* Lessons learned reports

Technical Qualifications (mandatory)
* Certified Welding Engineer or Welding Technician (CSWIP3.1 or better)
* VT2 certification in accordance with ISO 9712
* Certified Coating Inspector (Frosio Level 2 or NACE Level 2)
Language Skills
* English: B2
* Norwegian: B2
* (Optional: German or Spanish)
Additional Skills
* Valid driving license (Class 3)
* Good command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Familiarity with EN 1090 standards
* Minimum 5 years of experience in steel construction
* Willingness to relocate to Verdal, Norway, for the project
Compensation
* Monthly invoicing (including all taxes)
* Timesheet submission required
