We're building Postproxy, an API for social media posting. We have paying customers and revenue. The product works and one of the best in the class. Most of the teams who'd pay us still don't know we exist.
We're hiring someone to fix that — the first growth person at Postproxy.
What the work looks like
Figuring out where social media API buyers actually spend their time. Discord servers for agency owners. Reddit threads about TikTok automation. Slack groups for no-code builders. Indie hacker replies. You show up there in a way people trust, not as a brand account.
Writing: comparison pages that don't lie about competitors, build-with-X walkthroughs, the SEO pages that capture intent — "post to Instagram with API", "schedule LinkedIn posts programmatically", and the long tail behind those. Outreach: cold emails that read like emails, warm intros, partnerships with adjacent tools — Zapier, Make, Bubble, the no-code crowd. Experiments: paid tests on weird channels, referral mechanics, getting customers to talk about us in public.
You'll use AI a lot. That's fine. The skill is deciding what to ship and what to delete.
What we want from you
Prior growth work at a developer-tools or API company that you can show with numbers. Writing that people read to the end. Enough SQL — or LLM-piloted SQL — to answer your own questions about the funnel. A reflex for experiments over plans. Skepticism toward growth-Twitter, including the parts you agree with.
You're comfortable being the first hire on a function and figuring out the playbook as you go.
Logistics
Remote, async. Two calls a week. Small team, direct feedback. Salary plus equity — we're not cheap on equity for the first growth hire.
