The Opportunity
This position is based in our International Markets Commercial Excellence team within the Cardiometabolic Division, which is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that improve cardiovascular and metabolic health outcomes. The role can be based in our offices in Ireland (Galway), UK (Maidenhead) or Germany (Cologne).
As the Commercial Excellence Manager, you will be responsible for driving growth and performance across both direct sales and distributor channels. By combining sales excellence and distributor excellence, this role ensures that our commercial organization — and our external partners — are equipped with the right strategies, tools, and capabilities to deliver sustainable business results. The role partners closely with commercial leadership, regional teams, marketing, finance, and operations to improve sales effectiveness, distributor management, and go-to-market execution.

Commercial Strategy & Execution
1. Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue, margin, and market growth.
2. Standardize best practices across sales and distributor networks.
3. Translate market and performance insights into actionable plans.
Sales & Distributor Excellence
4. Enhance salesforce productivity through planning, KPIs, and capability building.
5. Lead change management and ensure consistent execution of priorities.
6. Strengthen distributor performance through governance, joint planning, and incentive models.
Insights & Analytics
7. Deliver actionable insights from sales and market data.
8. Advise leadership on channel strategy, customer engagement, and ROI.
Cross-functional Collaboration
9. Align commercial efforts with marketing, finance, pricing, and operations.
10. Ensure cohesive execution across product launches, supply chain, and commercial models.
Continuous Improvement
11. Lead strategic projects focused on commercial excellence and digital enablement.
12. Foster a culture of performance, accountability, and learning.

Preferred Background:
18. Experience working across countries in an international role, balancing the needs and demands of the countries appropriately
19. Relevant experience in a commercial role that requires strategic and analytical skills; preferably in a health care environment
20. Proficient with Microsoft Office products; advanced user in Excel.
21. Experience working with PowerBI, Qlikview or other analytics platforms
22. Experience working with senior stakeholders to drive decision and action
23. Ability to plan, implement and monitor projects.
24. Proficient and fluent in English (spoken and written), with good interpersonal and communication skills.
