KG Organization Transformation of Industry Business Unit Compression Full / Part time Full-time Experience Level Experienced Professional A Snapshot of Your Day Professional instrumentation and control engineer supporting Bid Management by specifying control system designs and compressor instrumentation. Support the Bid Team or proactively engage with customers on project specific questions on automation and compressor train instrumentation.How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Lead the I&C portion of Turbo Compressor Trains, including inquiries about components, addressing comments and exceptions to customer specifications, and attending virtual or in-person customer meetings
2. Conceptualize and apply client requirements to standard control cabinets, coordinating internal interfaces and collaborating with global hubs, sales managers, and proposal engineers to complete technical offers
3. Ensure timely fulfillment of all technical obligations committed by the company, including those subcontracted to external suppliers related to compressor control and instrumentation
4. Generate and issue requests for quotations for MV motors and MV converters based on project specifications and evaluate feedback from sub-suppliers
5. Coordinate interfaces for the SE Electrical scope, including E-Motor, VFD suppliers, excitation panels, and other related components
6. Issue risk or opportunity notifications to the bidding team regarding project cost, schedule, or equipment performance, while proposing risk mitigation plans and working in multi-functional teams to develop solutions for Product Requirement Specifications from Sales/Marketing analysis
What You Bring
7. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or higher (or equivalent)
8. Minimum 5 years of experience required with Electrical engineering background
9. Fluent in German and English
10. Proven experience in the areas of large electrical MV motors, MV variable speed drive systems and necessary auxiliary components,, transformers, medium voltage switchgear, synchronizing and protection units
11. Experience in electric Motor design according to IEC60034, NEMA MG 1 and API 541/546. Understanding and applying Explosion Protection methods according to IEC 60079 and NFPA 70 NEC 500 / 505
12. 2 or more years of Co-ordinating with multiple parties’ projects including internal project team members, client staff, vendors, sub consultants and general contractors
