For one of our clients in the fashion industry we are looking for a freelance Garment Engineer. Job Specification Project: Garment Development Through Prototyping 1. Project Description Short Description : Garment development through prototyping. Objective : To create apparel pieces that deliver a performance benefit. 2. Service Description The client will provide all necessary products, sketches, project plans, documents, access to relevant systems, and other requirements in advance. The contractor will independently perform the following tasks: Analysis & Documentation Review provided documentation, including operating instructions and work safety regulations for machines available within the atelier. Ensure accurate documentation of the manufacturing process to guarantee independent working. Prototype Creation & Development Create prototypes in line with the provided tech packs, adhering to measurement accuracy and production tolerances. Ensure all prototypes meet the client’s quality standards (clean, neat, professional finish). Consultancy & Collaboration Provide project updates on prototype status as deemed necessary by the contractor. Offer professional consultancy on workmanship and the prototype creation process. Advise and guide internal and external pattern engineers, product developers, and design partners on processing variations and product-specific solutions during development. Goal : Deliver garments for innovation and creative direction exhibitions. Provide supporting garments for fitting and testing to validate final samples. Deliver final garments for high-visibility moments (sporting events, public appearances). 3. Timelines The contractor is expected to adhere to the following delivery milestones: September & November 2025 : Delivery of garments for innovation exhibitions. October 2025 : Delivery of garments for creative direction exhibitions. October 2025 : Delivery of garments for creative direction photo shoot. Start: 27/10/2025 Duration: 31/12/2025 Location: 100% onsite in Herzogenaurach, Germany Capacity: 17 hours/week
