Skeleton is looking for a driven and experienced
Process Development Engineer (m/f/x)
Who will play an interconnecting role between the Technology and Process & Industrial Engineering departments.
Your responsibility areas:
* Development of mixing process, characterization and preparation of slurry, and filling information processes.
* Tight communication and cooperation with the Process & Industrial Engineering department to get the needed processes aligned for scaling up.
* Coating and calendering of electrodes.
* Hands-on testing and prototyping in our different lab locations, in cooperation with the R&D teams.
* Point of contact between our R&D activities and electrode production in Markranstädt, Germany.
* Planning of coating R&D activities in our SuperFactory in Markranstädt and electrode optimization.
* Minimizing scrap rates and achieving cost targets
* Devising suggestions and implementing continuous process improvements
* Communication and coordination with external parties, such as service providers and suppliers
* Definition of quality measures and test plans for materials.
* Devise suggestions for process flows, internal interfaces, and handover processes
* Prepare presentations and drafts for decisions.
Requirements
* Education in any of these fields: chemistry, process engineering, or electrochemistry.
* At least 3 years of working experience in the process development from the battery industry.
* At least 3 years of industrial experience in Lithium-ion cells/Batteries with proven successes.
* Experiences with different processes in battery production, like calendaring, coating, mixing, etc.
* Very good English in written and verbal, German beneficial.
* Great communication skills - you feel comfortable in setting deadlines and following up on agreed action items.
