Your Role
* Develop and expand clinical and commercial contract manufacturing sales and business development activities within the Drug Products cluster focusing on the following segments: Oral Solid Dosage (OSD), Inhalation, Topical Ophthalmic, and Sterile Fill & Finish (Injectables).
* Identify, qualify, and prioritize prospective customers through comprehensive prospect profiling and vetting, including financial analysis and detailed outside‑in pipeline assessment.
* Generate new business opportunities through proactive outreach and consistent follow‑up with potential clients.
* Understand customer manufacturing and scientific support needs, align them with Siegfried’s capabilities, and effectively present tailored solutions.
* Participate in roadshows, trade shows, conferences, and other marketing activities related to business development; contribute to the publication of whitepapers and articles to enhance Siegfried’s market presence and strengthen brand perception among potential clients.
* Monitor market trends, competitive dynamics, and emerging technologies to identify growth opportunities.
Securing And Managing Development Projects
* Prepare high‑quality proposals, including reviewing evaluation reports, drafting commercial offers, and applying value‑based pricing principles.
* Negotiate and execute contracts (e.g., Development Agreements, Technical Transfer Agreements, Master Service Agreements, and Commercial Supply Agreements) in close collaboration with the Legal team.
* Measure and monitor customer satisfaction, fostering long‑term partnerships through regular touchpoints and proactive issue management (e.g., addressing quality concerns or delivery delays).
Supporting Activities
* Maintain internal systems (e.g., Salesforce) and accurately report all sales activities, providing regular updates to senior management on new business development progress, revenue forecasts, and detailed sales funnel tracking.
* Promote internal collaboration across key functions such as Finance, Legal, and Operations, ensuring coordinated efforts to meet customer requirements efficiently.
Your Profile
* Bachelor or Master’s degree (Ph.D. or MBA as a plus) in a Life Science related field, such as chemical engineering, biology or pharmaceutical sciences.
* 6‑8 years of relevant experience in commercial roles (preferably business development) in the Pharmaceutical, Biotech or CDMO space.
* Proven track record of autonomously developing own client portfolio & leading strategic initiatives.
* Highly dynamic and self‑motivated team player, with excellent networking, relationship building as well as sales and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is required, experience with Salesforce is a plus.
* Business‑level proficiency in German and English.
Other Requirements
* Around 40‑60% travel will be required as part of the role.
* Based in Germany, with flexibility to travel regularly to our site in Hameln, Lower Saxony.
