Tasks
As a Graduate Powertrain Engineer you will support the development and calibration of powertrain systems. You will collaborate with experienced engineers, gaining practical exposure to real-world engineering challenges while developing your technical and analytical capabilities.
* Support calibration and development activities for conventional internal combustion, hybrid and battery electric powertrain systems
* Assist in the collection, processing and analysis of test data
* Work closely with senior engineers to support issue investigation and resolution
* Contribute to validation activities, including test bench and vehicle-based testing
* Participate in global test trips and development activities at customer sites
* Develop knowledge of calibration tools, processes and methodologies
Qualification
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline, with an automotive background preferred
* Recent graduate or up to 1 year of relevant experience, including placements or internships
* Basic understanding of powertrain systems, vehicle fundamentals, and automotive engineering principles
* Fundamental knowledge of electrical systems, control systems, and automation principles as applied to automotive applications
* Exposure to calibration, data analysis, or automotive communication tools (e.g. INCA, CANalyzer) would be advantageous
* Understanding of CAN bus systems, sensors, actuators, and data acquisition is a plus
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* A proactive attitude and willingness to learn and develop
* Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
