Join our team in München, Essen and apply online as Portfolio Manager Energy Markets (f/m/d). In this pivotal role, you'll be instrumental in managing and optimizing our power and gas supply portfolio. Actively manage DVR (Demand Variantion Risk), Commodity price risk, and BMR (Balancing Market Risk) exposures for our power and gas supply portfolio, ensuring operational timing and implementing effective risk reduction measures for short and long term tenors.
Data driven analysis on portfolio behavior and translation into hedges and mitigation strategies.
Projects and improvement: We're looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual with a robust background in energy portfolio management. A university degree in engineering, economics, mathematics, finance, or a comparable discipline.
Proven operational experience in European power and gas wholesale trading (both forward and short-term markets).
Extensive knowledge of wholesale energy markets and significant experience in portfolio management.
Knowledge of financial statements, credit analysis, and risk management practices is highly desired.
Communication and assertiveness: Excellent communication skills, assertiveness, and a strong sense of engagement.
A proactive approach to learning and personal development.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English are essential. Strong expertise in Python and SQL including machine learning, optimisations and advanced statistics.
