Purpose
The Sr. Manager Retail Marketing drives the development of strategy and tools for the business unit covering every retail-centred consumer touchpoints and ensures these tools are utilized globally through wholesale and own retail.
Key Accountabilities
* Work together with brand communications and CTC to extend all global campaigns through all possible retail avenues.
* Develop and execute the business unit retail marketing tools and initiatives not covered by the global campaign when required, ensuring they are in line with style guidelines.
* Ensure a consistent brand appearance across all own retail outlets and ensure the presence at wholesale meets the standards and direction of the adidas brand.
* Develop and drive strategies to promote and support key products at own retail stores and work closely with digital, retail development and retail training to ensure successful implementation.
* In conjunction with wholesale and CTC teams provide the business units’ content for a style toolbox on a seasonal basis.
* Develop and drive tools for driving traffic and generating sales which are in line with the business unit strategy and which are easy to implement for the markets.
* Create brand extension and activation ideas which drive awareness, interest and sales.
* Work closely with global sourcing to ensure all tools created are easy to use and affordable for markets and wholesale partners.
* Call and coordinate monthly meetings with regional own retail marketing teams.
* Support store openings globally if and when required.
Knowledge, Capabilities and Experience
* Good interpersonal/communication skills.
* Affinity with omnichannel strategies and solid trade marketing and retail marketing campaign delivery.
* Ability to manage and / or collaborate with internal and external cross-functional groups: product marketing, communications, social, digital.
* Solid understanding of consumer messaging and brand reputation.
* Broad understanding of and passion for the sports and fashion/entertainment industry.
* High level of strategic thinking and strong presentation skills.
* Strong organizational skills
Qualifications
1. Degree in Marketing, Communications, Retail or a related field. Master Degree / MBA a plus.
2. 6+ years’ industry and / or relevant work experience.
3. Fluent written and spoken English language skills.
