About the Job
We are seeking a seasoned financial leader to join our team as Chief Accountant. This role is pivotal in ensuring financial compliance, transparency, and accurate reporting in accordance with international accounting standards.
The successful candidate will lead the accounting function, define financial policies, and oversee the preparation of monthly financial reports. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and strategic objectives.
* Determine and monitor accounting policies
* Develop sound knowledge of tax and commercial law
* Prepare monthly reports (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow)
* Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards
* Coordinate year-end closing activities and liaise with external auditors during audits
Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
* A completed university degree in a relevant field
* At least 3 years of professional experience as an accountant
* Sound knowledge of German accounting regulations, particularly HGB
* Fluent German and English language skills
