About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to develop production-ready applications. Our data science team applies machine learning to create innovative product features.
In this role, you will:
* Have end-to-end responsibility, from data exploration to applying state-of-the-art machine learning techniques and building production-ready applications.
* Your work will directly enable solutions in financial crime prevention and credit risk assessment.
* Drive your project and collaborate with experienced data scientists, engineers, and product managers to deliver customer value.
* You will have the opportunity to experiment with new tech stacks and project ideas.
Requirements
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in quantitative disciplines such as mathematics, statistics, or computer science.
* Proven record of implementing machine learning solutions, particularly in banking applications like fraud detection and credit risk.
* Deep experience with various modeling techniques, including classification models (e.g., CatBoost), regression models (e.g., LightGBM), time series analysis (e.g., ARIMA), unsupervised models (e.g., clustering), strong programming skills in Python and SQL, basic infrastructure knowledge, and foundational knowledge of deep learning.
* Good understanding of common machine learning algorithms and ability to teach junior data scientists.
* You are creative, organized, self-motivated, and able to drive ambitious data science projects.
* English language proficiency is essential.
Preferred Qualifications & Nice to Haves
* Knowledge and experience in the banking industry, regulatory compliance, provisions, capital requirements, PD/LGD/EAD modelization, credit card fraud, and anti-money laundering modelization are valuable.
* Experience with cloud ML platforms, especially AWS Sagemaker, is a plus.
* Knowledge of Large Language Models is a bonus.
