What will you do
The Fire & Security Procurement Manager’s role is critical to supporting the effective delivery of projects within the Central Europe Field business, through implementation of the procurement strategy. Working with Category Managers, buying teams and other internal stakeholders, you will assess and develop the supply base, conduct negotiations, and take ownership of various new initiatives to drive savings and improvements throughout the procurement function. You will deliver and report on key performance metrics at a senior level, driving high performance and continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborating with external suppliers & subcontractors to identify partnership opportunities, you will drive a proactive approach to Procurement leadership, with a focus on delivering long term, sustainable and efficient supply chain agreements.
How will you do it
1. Implementing and delivering against specific category strategies
2. Leading complex supplier negotiations in relation to savings, payment terms and innovations
3. Leading and developing buying team with 6 direct reports
4. Encouraging internal collaboration & synergies with other procurement teams (e.g. Category Management)
5. Developing & delivering an ambitious savings plan with activity roadmap, as well as additional added-value opportunities
6. Collaborating with stakeholders and developing strong relationships internally and externally with the supply chain to ensure engagement & compliance
7. Influencing stakeholders to understand, align and deliver against priorities
8. Driving a high-performance culture through leading Procurement best practice methodology & processes
What we look for
Required
9. Minimum 6 years of relevant professional experience, demonstrating progressive responsibility and impact within procurement or a related field
10. Experience in Project Based Procurement
11. Experience working in international matrix organization
12. Experience in people management and/or development (e.g. mentoring, coaching, training etc)
13. Proven track record in delivering transformational results and delivering against savings targets
14. Experience managing internal stakeholders and external suppliers at the highest levels
15. Experience in best practice Procurement processes
16. Fluency in English and German language (written and spoken)
Preferred
17. Holds a relevant business degree or equivalent Procurement
18. Professional procurement qualification (e.g. CIPS or CPSM)
19. Experience in the Fire and Security business
