Head of event engagement

The Head of Event Engagement is responsible for driving pipeline growth through strategic event planning, execution, and follow-up. This role ensures operational excellence by organizing the team, establishing clear processes, and overseeing flawless execution of all event-related activities. In addition, this role makes sure that events serve as a high-impact lead generation channel by managing pre-event outreach, in-event engagement, and post-event conversion activities. The position combines operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and collaboration with commercial teams to maximize ROI from events.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Organization

1. Lead and structure the Event Engagement team to ensure clarity of roles and accountability.

2. Build a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on delivering measurable outcomes.

3. Provide coaching, guidance, and performance management to team members.

Process Design & Governance

4. Develop and implement standardized processes for pre-event planning, in-event engagement, and post-event follow-up.

5. Ensure workflows are documented, communicated, and consistently applied across all events.

6. Continuously review and improve processes for efficiency and scalability.

Meeting Management During Events

7. Maintain a centralized meeting calendar for all event engagements.

8. Capture detailed notes and log interactions in CRM in real time, working alongside Sales.

9. Provide daily progress summaries for leadership and adjust tactics as needed.

10. Support marketing and Sales attendance as needed

Post-Event Follow-Up

11. Score and prioritize leads; route qualified leads to BD or Sales teams.

12. Organise a follow-up strategy and monitor success

13. Review KPIs (meetings booked, leads generated, conversion rates) and report insights.

14. Repurpose event content for follow-up campaigns and nurture sequences, working alongside stakeholders

Performance Monitoring

15. Track event ROI and pipeline contribution; identify trends and improvement opportunities.

16. Provide regular reporting to senior leadership on engagement outcomes and process adherence.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

17. Strong understanding of event marketing and lead generation workflows.

18. Proven ability to design and implement operational processes.

19. Proficiency in CRM systems, business intelligence tools and data-driven decision-making.

20. Excellent organizational skills for managing pre-event and in-event outreach, meetings and follow-ups.

21. Ability to analyze KPIs and optimize event performance.

22. Skilled in stakeholder engagement and cross-functional collaboration.

23. Experience in managing and developing teams

Other Requirements

24. 3+ years of experience in event marketing, lead generation, or commercial operations.

25. Fluent in English
