Hardware Electronics Engineer - Automotive | Semiconductors / Sensors
A leading company in sensing technology is looking for a Hardware Electronics Engineer with a good background in Automotive for an exciting opportunity in Stutensee, Germany.
This company are creating sensor solutions for a range of industries, from automotive and industrial engineering to home applications.
About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and hands-on Hardware Electronics Engineer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of electronic hardware for automotive products. You will be an integral part of the European Application Team, working on exciting new product introductions and supporting our existing portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
* Participate in NPI and application development teams
* Collaborate with firmware, software, and system engineers
* Develop/adjust hardware for new applications
* Design circuits & layouts for various teams
* Design 3D models for internal/external use
* Enable project-specific hardware solutions (demokits, etc.)
* Interface with external partners
* Implement & execute HW release tests
* Support end-of-line setups
* Maintain & improve existing automotive hardware
* Cooperate with quality/operations on legacy products
* Support the improvement definition & root cause analysis
Necessary Skills:
* B.Sc./M.Sc. in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or comparable
* Good electronics knowledge
* Strong circuit design & PCB layout experience (e.g., Altium, Eagle, KiCad)
* Experience with 3D CAD (e.g., Fusion 360, Solidworks)
* Automotive HW development experience
* Knowledge of communication interfaces (LIN, I2C, SPI, CAN, Serial)
* Effective English & German written and oral communication
Desired Skills:
* Automotive SPICE know-how
* Functional safety/ASIL knowledge
* Software/firmware knowledge
* German language skills
