Your Role:
As a Field-Based Service Engineer, you will act as a crucial link between my client and their customers. You will combine technical expertise with strong communication skills to deliver outstanding after-sales service, ensuring customer satisfaction across Germany and wider Europe. You will also work autonomously, managing your own travel schedule and service priorities to best support customers.
This would suit an engineer from industries involved in the supply and installation of mechatronic or automated equipment, from production, to lab instrumentation or medical equipment.
Your Responsibilities:
• Provide on-site and remote customer support, including installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment.
• Conduct technical training for customers on the use and maintenance of products.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, identifying faults and replacing components when necessary.
• Analyse the technical and environmental conditions for equipment integration at customer sites.
• Advise customers on service contracts and spare parts, supporting the preparation of quotations.
• Train and support internal teams, subsidiaries, and distributors in after-sales service.
• Proactively monitor product performance, addressing customer concerns efficiently.
• Organize and manage your own travel schedule.
• Participate in testing new equipment and upgrades to enhance product performance.
• Travel extensively across Germany and Europe as required.
What You Bring:
• Professional experience in one or more of the following fields: mechanics, electronics, pneumatics, fluidics, hydraulics, or optics. Full training will be given on reproductive biotechnology products.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Excellent communication skills in English and German (written and spoken);
• Ability to adapt, explain technical concepts clearly, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Willingness to travel frequently across Germany and Europe.
• French is a strong advantage as the wider team is based in France and there will be regular travel to France also.
