Tasks
We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer - Linux & Infrastructure to strengthen our IT and infrastructure team. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with deep expertise in Linux administration, infrastructure automation, and cloud technologies. You will play a key role in ensuring the stable, secure, and scalable operation of our platform and IT services.
* Ensure the smooth and reliable operation of the Drooms platform and supporting infrastructure
* Manage and optimize Linux-based systems across on-premise and cloud environments
* Operate and further develop infrastructure automation systems (e.g., Puppet, Ansible)
* Support infrastructure as code initiatives using configuration management and automation tools
* Monitor and maintain system reliability, performance, and security
* Manage networking components and ensure connectivity and availability
* Support DevOps practices and CI/CD workflows (e.g. GitLab or similar)
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve infrastructure and support product development
* Maintain clear and up-to-date system documentation, SOPs, and architectural diagrams
Profile
* 7+ years of experience in Linux systems administration
* Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, etc.)
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure
* Familiarity with networking administration and troubleshooting
* Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
* Knowledge of data systems and tools is a plus
* Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on operational excellence
* Excellent German and English language skills are required for this position
