Site Manager – Job Description
We’re looking for an experienced Site Manager to join one of the world's largest developers of power and renewable energy. This position would involve managing the dismantling and decommissioning works of a nuclear power plant.
Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and supervise construction and installation activities, with particular attention to compliance with layout and execution drawings.
2. Monitor construction and installation work with a focus on adherence to budget, schedule, agreed quality standards, and occupational/environmental safety regulations.
3. Coordinate and oversee initial electrical switch-ons and commissioning procedures.
4. Participate in site meetings and project briefings
5. Record and document construction progress, reporting to the site management and project leadership
6. Align ongoing activities with site managers from other trades to ensure optimal project workflow
7. Document deficiencies in the performance of subcontractors
8. Assist in or prepare formal defect notices in cases of underperformance
9. Evaluate claims for additional work submitted by subcontractors
10. Support and participate in the acceptance process of partial and complete project scopes
Profile:
11. Degree or certification as an Engineer, Technician, or Master Electrician in Electrical Engineering
12. Switching authorization for 10 kV is desirable
13. Strong awareness of safety and ability to act accordingly in all work situations
14. Familiarity with relevant standards and regulations (e.g. VDE)
15. Structured and self-reliant approach to tasks
16. Proven teamwork skills
