SOSi is seeking a Senior Systems Administration Support Specialist (Windows OS) in Wiesbaden, Germany. The ideal candidate will possess senior-level expertise in the administration, maintenance, and optimization of Microsoft-based server environments. This role involves managing complex Windows OS architectures, overseeing Microsoft server products, and ensuring the stability of critical command and control or commercial communication systems in support of theater-level mission requirements.
Essential Job Duties
* Provide senior-level technical support for the daily operations, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Microsoft Server-based operating systems.
* Oversee the configuration and performance of Microsoft Server-based products, including MSSQL, Hyper-V, and Live Communications platforms.
* Manage resource allocation and system tuning for Windows-based architectures to ensure high availability and resilient performance.
* Lead the deployment and maintenance of Hyper-V virtualized environments, ensuring efficient workload management and storage integration.
* Ensure the availability and integrity of the Department of Defense Information Network (DoDIN) by enforcing strict STIG compliance and security patching for all Windows assets.
* Provide situational assessments and utilization metrics to address emerging Windows-based system requirements and theater-wide processing initiatives.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
* Active in scope Secret clearance with T5.
* BA/BS degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Science, Business Administration, or Mathematics) plus five (5) years of specialized experience OR Associate’s degree plus seven (7) years of specialized experience OR a major professional certification plus seven (7) years of specialized experience OR eleven (11) years of specialized experience.
* Possession of at least one of the following: Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert or Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator.
The following experience may be concurrent.
* Minimum four (4) years of experience using and maintaining Microsoft Server-based OS.
* Minimum two (2) years of experience with Microsoft Server-based products (e.g., MSSQL, Hyper-V, Live Communications).
* Minimum two (2) years of direct experience with U.S. military command and control or commercial LAN/WAN communication systems.
Preferred Qualifications
* Advanced knowledge of SQL Server administration and performance tuning.
* Experience with Active Directory (AD) and Azure AD/Entra ID identity management.
* Proficiency in PowerShell for system automation and configuration management.
* Familiarity with MECM (SCCM) for automated patching and software deployment.
* Prior experience supporting theater-level Microsoft enterprise environments.
Additional Information
Work Environment
* Normal office conditions with potential to perform duties in deployed locations.
* May be requested to work evenings and weekends to meet program and contract needs.
