Responsibilities
1. Strategic HR & Organizational Leadership
* Partner with regional leadership to develop and implement HR and organizational strategies aligned with business goals.
* Drive organizational development, leadership development, and succession planning across the region.
* Support organizational transformation, restructuring, and post-merger integration initiatives.
* Lead strategic workforce planning to support long-term business growth.
2. HR Governance & HR Operations
* Oversee the full HR value chain, including talent acquisition, performance management, compensation & benefits, employee relations, learning & development, and HR operations.
* Ensure compliance with German labor law and manage relationships with Works Councils and employee representatives.
* Establish and continuously improve HR policies, processes, and governance frameworks.
* Use HR analytics and metrics to support management decision-making.
3. Leadership Partnering
* Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on leadership, organization, and people-related topics.
* Coach and support leaders in organizational management, team effectiveness, and change management.
* Promote a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative organizational culture.
4. External Representation & Employer Branding
* Represent the company in external HR, talent, and industry-related events, conferences, and professional networks.
* Build and promote the company’s employer brand in the European market, enhancing the company’s attractiveness as an employer.
* Support external communication related to people, culture, and organizational development topics.
* Develop partnerships with universities, industry associations, and talent networks.
* Act as a cultural bridge between the global organization and the European region, strengthening mutual understanding and organizational integration.
5. HR Team Leadership
* Build, lead, and develop the regional HR team.
* Ensure high-quality and consistent HR service delivery across the region.
* Foster collaboration between regional HR and global HR functions.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree or above; Master’s degree preferred.
* 15+ years of HR experience, including experience in HR leadership roles in Germany or Europe.
* Strong knowledge of German labor law and experience working with Works Councils.
* Experience in organizational development, change management, and leadership development.
* Experience in multinational companies and matrix organizations.
* Fluent in English and German.
* Experience in employer branding, external representation, or HR-related public speaking is a strong plus.
