The Role and Candidate
As part of our growing European operations, we’re seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator – Germany to support safe and compliant operations across our retail stores, offices, and warehouse locations.
You will act as a key point of contact for health & safety matters, ensuring all sites operate in line with local legislation and internal standards. Working closely with Store Managers, HR, Facilities, and regional teams, you’ll help foster a strong safety culture while providing both hands-on support and practical guidance.
Responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with Germany health & safety legislation and internal company policies
• Conduct and maintain risk assessments across multiple sites
• Carry out regular site inspections and ensure timely follow-up on corrective actions
• Support incident reporting, investigations, and accurate documentation
• Coordinate and deliver statutory training (e.g. fire safety, manual handling, first aid)
• Lead safety inductions and briefings for new and temporary staff
• Organise fire drills and emergency preparedness activities
• Maintain safety documentation and support internal and external audits
• Provide day-to-day guidance to managers and team members on health & safety matters
Key Requirements
• 1–2+ years’ experience in a health & safety role, ideally within retail or a multi-site environment
• Strong knowledge of Germany health & safety regulations and best practices
• Confident communication skills with experience delivering training
• Proven ability to manage incidents and ensure compliance
• Strong attention to detail with a proactive problem-solving approach
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Willingness to travel across Europe
• C1 level of German minimum is required
