What You'll Do:
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer who thrives in a modern, cloud-native environment and strives to use cutting-edge tools to increase efficiency.
You will help us design a scalable, containerized platform that ensures the reliability and security our banking customers expect. Beyond traditional programming, we are looking for someone who uses AI-powered workflows to accelerate development and raise testing standards.
You will join us at our Berlin headquarters and work closely with the team to foster a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

Core development: Develop, build, and maintain high-performance backend services using modern languages (e.g., Java, Go, or Python) to support critical banking operations.
AI-powered engineering: Integrate agentic AI tools into the development cycle to automate routine coding tasks, generate test cases, and optimize refactoring processes.
Cloud & DevOps: Promote the adoption of cloud-native technologies, application containerization (Docker), and CI/CD pipeline optimization.
Database excellence: Work with PostgreSQL in a high-load environment to ensure data integrity and performance.
Quality & Architecture: Promote code quality and system design, ensuring that our modernization efforts result in a maintainable and future-proof code base.

Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in software development with a strong track record in backend development.
Tech stack: Proficiency in modern programming languages (e.g., Java, Go, Python). Note: We do not use C#.
Agentic AI expertise: Experience in using AI agents and LLM-based tools in the development and testing process (e.g., for code generation, automated unit test creation, or semantic code analysis).
Modern tools: Deep understanding of containers (Docker/Kubernetes) and CI/CD workflows.
Database skills: Strong SQL skills, especially with PostgreSQL.
Working mode: You enjoy working in a team. We value personal contact and require you to be present at our office in Berlin four days a week, with one day of remote work.
Language: Fluent English is required. German language skills are "nice to have" but not mandatory.
