As a Legal Counsel, you will play a crucial role in providing legal guidance and support to the organization. You will be responsible for handling various legal matters, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and minimizing legal risks for the company. This role requires a strong understanding of all laws relevant to the medical device business, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams within the company.
Deine Aufgaben
- Provide strategic and operational advice on the full spectrum of legal issues arising in the medical device business, including commercial transactions, business models, medical and scientific affairs matters, supply and distribution, SaaS, Data and AI, and competition and antitrust
- Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts, including customer contracts, distribution agreements, and other legal documents, ensuring alignment with company policies and protection of the company’s interests
- Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, and develop and implement policies, and training to foster a strong culture of compliance across the organization
- Identify potential legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate and manage them effectively, providing proactive advice and guidance to minimize legal exposure and safeguard the company’s interests
- Coordinate and manage external legal counsel in handling litigation matters, including lawsuits, regulatory investigations, and disputes, while supporting the development of litigation strategies and representing the company’s interests in legal proceedings when necessary
- Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures, regularly reviewing and updating them to reflect legal and regulatory changes
- Stay up to date on changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends that may impact the company, and conduct legal research while providing analysis on relevant legal matters to support informed decision-making
Deine Qualifikationen
- Fully qualified lawyer under German law with a strong academic track record, demonstrated by above-average results in state examinations
- Minimum of 2 years’ post-qualification experience; industry experience in the MedTech or Pharma sector is preferred
- Ability to work independently, with a high level of ownership, commercial acumen, sound judgment, and dedication
- Confident and positive mindset
- Strong communication skills in both German and English
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and deliver practical legal solutions
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
- Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards
