Job title: Key Account Manager (KAM) – BMW
Location: Stuttgart, Germany (On Site, Full Time)
About the client and role
Our client, one of the worlds leading tier 1 suppliers, is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to strengthen its partnership with one of the world’s largest automotive OEMs.
This Stuttgart-based role is ideal for a commercially driven professional with deep OEM experience, particularly within BMW. The successful candidate will lead strategic account development, identify new business opportunities, and manage commercial processes including pricing, contracts, and claims.
Responsibilities
· Develop and implement strategic account plans to grow and secure business within BMW
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities across BMW platforms.
· Lead commercial negotiations, including pricing discussions, contract terms, and claims management.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at BMW.
· Coordinate internally across engineering, R&D, supply chain, and quality teams to ensure successful project delivery.
· Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify areas for growth and innovation.
· Ensure all customer requirements are clearly communicated and executed across internal teams.
· Collaborate with project and program managers to align on timing, technical scope, and change management processes.
Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor's or master’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related technical field.
· 5–10 years of experience in key account management within the automotive sector, preferably with direct exposure to BMW.
· Demonstrated success in new business acquisition, contract negotiation, and claim resolution.
· Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
· Highly organized and proactive, with a strategic mindset and strong commercial instincts.
· Fluent in both Chinese and English are a must; additional languages are a plus.
· Willingness to travel as needed within Germany and Europe.
