Summary Statement
In this position as a Research Engineer (d/f/m) with a focus on mechatronics and actuators you will work as a part of an international team, cooperating with experienced development engineers from a variety of disciplines (mechatronics, mechanics, biomechanics, orthopedic technologies) in order to substantially improve the quality of life of impaired people. The position is located in our headquarter in Duderstadt near Göttingen.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Your task will be to research and develop a new generation of assistive technologies to support activities of daily living
2. You will work on the conceptual design of mechatronic components for protheses, orthoses and exoskeletons
3. You will elaborate subsystems and integrate them into the overall system
4. You will design and implement actuators, considering all relevant subsystems using 3D CAD and PCB Design software
5. You will consider potential mechanical, electronic and sensor components
6. You will build and test prototypes in cooperation with the internal manufacturing department
7. You will verify the functionality of the subsystems and the overall concept
Qualifications
8. Master's degree or higher in mechatronic, mechanical or electronic engineering
9. 2-5 years of industrial experience
10. Practical experience in mechatronic actuator prototyping as well as in mechatronic and mechanical prototyping
11. Experience with rapid prototyping and additive manufacturing
12. Capability of independent work
13. Creative, proactive and motivated
14. Excellent written and speaking skills in English, German is a plus
