Head of Facility Management (m/f/d)

Your seat to fill:
1. Lead the end-to-end real estate lifecycle, including potential acquisitions, due diligence, zoning and land-use assessments, valuation processes, building condition analyses, and risk assessments
2. Oversee property-related CAPEX planning, ROI assessments, and lifecycle cost optimization for the company’s office portfolio
3. Develop scalable facility management (FM) concepts to support the transition from tenant operations to owner responsibilities, including maintenance strategies, warranty management, building services, and technical facility operations
4. Establish and maintain a global real estate portfolio database, consolidating architectural, technical, and financial data to support strategic decision-making
5. Oversee the implementation and management of facility management services and contracts at the headquarters and across all global locations, ensuring effective and seamless local execution
6. Conduct workplace audits, manage project reporting, and enforce robust cost and performance controls to optimize efficiency and budget management while continuously enhancing workplace environments to improve employee experience, operational effectiveness, and productivity
7. Lead global sustainability and energy management initiatives, including energy monitoring, consumption analytics, ESG reporting, and support of the newly established Energy Manager role
8. Oversee global Health & Safety governance, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, implementation of workplace safety programs, and continuous improvement in close coordination with the H&S Expert
9. Develop and implement facility management policies, procedures, and best practices to standardize operations across regions
10. Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership, suppliers, and service providers, to ensure high-quality facility management services
11. Provide leadership and guidance to facility management teams across multiple locations, including onboarding and steering of the Energy Manager and H&S Expert roles

12. Extensive experience in senior facility management roles with responsibility for multiple sites, ideally including both owned and leased office properties in complex environments (e.g., corporate, retail, hospitality, or comparable industries)
13. Strong leadership, analytical, and project management skills with a strategic and results-driven mindset
14. Proven ability to manage large-scale facility operations, contracts, and budgets at a global level
15. Fluency in German and English, with strong proficiency in MS Office
16. Experience in sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives is an advantage
17. Willingness to travel internationally as required
