Role description
Lead the end-to-end delivery of factory construction and capital expenditure projects, ensuring alignment with production requirements and operational efficiency. This role combines technical expertise in production planning and layout design with strong project management skills to deliver state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities. The manager will oversee a small project team, collaborate with subject matter experts, and manage external contractors and suppliers.
Your Mission
* Factory Design & Layout:
o Translate production process requirements into efficient factory layouts
o Ensure optimal material flow, safety, and scalability in design
* Project Leadership:
o Manage the full lifecycle of construction and CapEx projects from concept and site selection to commissioning
o Coordinate internal teams and external contractors to meet timelines and budgets
* Stakeholder Collaboration:
o Act as the integrator between engineering, operations, and global teams
o Gather input from subject matter experts for production process details
* Tender & Contractor Management:
o Prepare tender documents, evaluate bids, and select contractors
o Negotiate contracts and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
* Planning & Scheduling:
o Develop detailed project schedules using suitable tools
o Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions
* Budget & Cost Control:
o Manage project budgets and provide accurate financial reporting
o Drive cost efficiency without compromising quality or safety
Minimum Qualifications
* Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Process Engineering (or related field).
* 5+ years of experience in factory construction and CapEx project management
* Strong knowledge of factory layout design principles
* Experience in greenfield and brownfield factory projects
* Experience with tendering and contractor management
* Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to travel up to 30% per year internationally
Preferred Qualifications
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles
* Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project for scheduling
* International construction experience
