About the Role
In this role, you will lead the development of the METRO/MAKRO App for the B2B wholesale sector, turning business needs and market opportunities into a customer-centric digital experience that simplifies ordering and boosts engagement.
You will act as the bridge between business and technology, ensuring seamless and efficient digital journeys while aligning country-specific requirements with the global product strategy.
You will also drive agile, cross-functional, and international collaboration to foster continuous improvement and sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Own the full lifecycle of our digital customer-facing solutions—across app and web—ensuring smooth, end-to-end journeys from discovery to ordering.
* Partner with designers and developers to launch new features, resolve issues, and continuously enhance usability and performance.
* Drive harmonization and scalability of our digital products globally while aligning local requirements with the global strategy.
* Ensure compliance with legal, security, and accessibility standards across all markets.
* Analyze customer behavior and product data to identify opportunities, translating insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
* Manage communication with global and local stakeholders and lead agile processes within the team to deliver optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
Your Profile
* 3 years of experience in app development, ideally in a B2B or wholesale environment.
* Proven experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and collaboration tools (Jira).
* Strong understanding of digital commerce, UX optimization, and customer journey mapping.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret KPIs and generate insights using tools like Google Analytics or similar.
* Solid organizational skills with the ability to balance multiple projects and stakeholders.
* Excellent communication skills — able to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements.
* Experience working in international and cross-functional environments.
* Fluent in English and German (both written and spoken)
