Global Sales Director – Commercial Marine Navigation Systems
We are seeking a high-calibre International Sales Director to lead global sales for a company at the forefront of commercial marine navigation and bridge system technology. This is a key leadership role, responsible for shaping international sales strategy, driving revenue growth, and building strong relationships across the global commercial shipping sector.
The successful candidate will have deep experience in the commercial marine market, including established relationships with ship owners, shipyards, and marine distributors/integrators. A background in maritime navigation technology or marine electronics is strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a global sales team, setting direction and driving performance across multiple regions.
* Develop and execute strategic sales plans aligned with global growth targets and evolving customer needs in the commercial marine sector.
* Strengthen and grow relationships with ship owners, shipyards, system integrators, and regional distributors.
* Collaborate closely with internal product and engineering teams to position technology solutions effectively in line with customer requirements.
* Oversee high-value, long-cycle sales engagements involving complex commercial negotiations.
* Represent the company at key maritime industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings worldwide.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategy and identify new business opportunities.
* Drive continuous improvement in sales processes, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring consistency and compliance across regions.
* Coach and develop the sales team to ensure high standards of professionalism, technical understanding, and customer engagement.
Required Skills & Experience:
* Proven track record in international sales leadership within the commercial marine industry.
* Strong network and experience working directly with ship owners, shipyards, distributors, and marine system integrators.
* Background in selling complex technical solutions, ideally related to navigation systems, bridge systems, or marine electronics.
* Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Willingness to travel internationally as required.
* Fluent in English; additional languages advantageous.
