About the position
Dometic is a global market leader in the mobile living industry. Millions of people around the world use Dometic products in outdoor, residential, and professional applications. We are on a journey of continuous growth – now looking for a Technical Product Designer for supporting our Krautheim factory.
Your main responsibilities
* Creating concepts and sketches
* Designing individual parts, products and assemblies of all details using CAD systems, taking into account function, manufacture and assembly. If necessary, also free-form surfaces.
* Consideration of design specifications and requirements from customers, suppliers and internal departments
* Selection of suitable materials, standard parts and semi-finished products taking into account production and cost aspects
* Carry out all necessary calculations, dimensioning and tolerance calculations
* Carry out computer-aided simulations (installation test, demolding, etc.), make adjustments and corrections to the designs if necessary
* Request and order prototype parts
* Creating technical documentation such as parts lists, production documents, standards lists
* Maintain and manage technical data
* Providing technical documents and data for tool enquiries
* Include economic and quality assurance aspects in the work
