Tasks
* Create mechanical components and custom equipment for our production lab
* Hands-on involvement in developing, assembling and testing new opto-mechanical setups
* Analyze and optimize mechanical tolerances, stability, and alignment in our handling, gluing, and measurement processes
* Standardize mechanical fixtures on the production line while enabling product customization
* Work with external workshops and partners for custom manufacturing and sourcing
Requirements
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (e.g., precision engineering, mechatronics), with solid practical experience in industrial manufacturing
* Experience with 3D CAD software for mechanical design (e.g. Fusion 360, Onshape, Solid Edge)
* Expertise in precision positioning applications (sub-micron), including vibration and mechanical stability considerations
* Fluent communication in English
* 3 years or more of work experience in an industrial environment are desirable
* Familiarity with cleanroom-compatible materials and design practices is desirable
