❄️ Freelance HVAC Engineer - Pharma Manufacturing Project Onsite | Mainz, Germany ⏱ Full-time | Contract Major Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Facility We are looking for a freelance HVAC Engineer to support a consultancy delivering a flagship pharmaceutical manufacturing project near Mainz. This role requires a strong onsite, delivery-focused HVAC engineer with cleanroom and GMP experience. Role Overview The HVAC Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of HVAC systems serving cleanrooms, classified production areas and critical GMP spaces, ensuring installations meet design intent, regulatory requirements and are ready for commissioning and qualification. Key Responsibilities Oversee HVAC systems supporting cleanrooms and GMP manufacturing areas Review HVAC designs and ensure correct implementation onsite Carry out site walkdowns, contractor inspections and installation quality checks Coordinate with HVAC contractors, ductwork installers and equipment suppliers Review and manage redlines, as-builts and technical documentation Support commissioning, testing and qualification readiness (IQ/OQ support) Resolve technical issues, RFIs and installation challenges during construction Ensure HVAC systems meet GMP, cleanroom classification and regulatory standards Must-Have Requirements Proven HVAC engineering experience in pharma Strong understanding of cleanroom HVAC systems (airflows, pressures, filtration, zoning) Experience working onsite through construction and commissioning phases Comfortable in a hands-on site role, interfacing daily with contractors and suppliers Solid knowledge of GMP requirements and regulated environments Fluent English (German a strong advantage) Available for full-time onsite presence near Mainz If this role is of interest, please click the relevant links to apply!
