SSO Personnel is partnering with a leading Irish mechanical engineering contractor to appoint an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for major construction projects across Mainland Europe.
This organisation is recognised for delivering complex mechanical packages to the highest standards of safety, quality, and technical excellence across highly regulated sectors including Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Semiconductor and Energy.

The Mechanical Project Manager will take full responsibility for the safe and successful delivery of mechanical construction works from initiation through to project close-out.
Reporting to the Project Director, you will lead multidisciplinary site teams and subcontract partners to ensure works are delivered:
To the highest quality and compliance standards
You will operate within the company’s established Project Management framework while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Lead all aspects of mechanical project delivery from planning through execution and completion
Take full ownership of Health & Safety performance, ensuring implementation of company safety management systems
Develop and drive construction execution plans and integrated project schedules
Oversee subcontractor scope development, tendering, award and full lifecycle management in collaboration with Quantity Surveyors
Ensure QA/QC compliance in line with client specifications, regulatory standards and industry best practice
Allocate labour and technical resources to ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards
Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on construction-stage projects
Minimum 10 years experience at Senior Mechanical Engineer or Project Engineer level
Demonstrated experience within Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Semiconductor or Oil & Gas sectors
Strong hands-on experience across mechanical construction activities including:
Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline (preferred)
Professional Project Management certification (PMP, IPMA or equivalent) advantageous
Proficiency in Navisworks or similar coordination software
