In Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, Department of Physics, we are looking for a researcher at the ealiest opportunity at the following conditions:
1. 100% = 39,83 hours
2. Pay grade 13 TV-L
3. limited for the duration of 36 months
Your tasks:
4. Development and implementation of software solutions for standardized access to large experimental datasets from synchrotron and XFEL experiments.
5. Design and implementation of APIs, data models, and software libraries (e.g., Python/C++) for efficient data analysis and visualization.
6. Integration of new data access and analysis tools into existing scientific workflows and visualization tools.
7. Close collaboration with international research infrastructures (e.g., DESY, EuXFEL, BESSY II) and interdisciplinary research teams.
8. Contribution to scientific publications, workshops, and community activities promoting Open Science and FAIR data principles.
Your profile:
9. Completed university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in physics, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field.
10. Experience in scientific programming (e.g., Python, C++ or comparable languages).
11. Knowledge of data analysis, software development, or scientific data management is advantageous.
12. Ability to work independently in research and collaborate in interdisciplinary and international teams.
13. Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
