The INM’s research group Materials-Host Interactions develops tissue models and methodologies to assess the performance of new biomaterials and to reduce and/or replace animal testing. We seek a motivated researcher to develop the first model of the ocular microbiome in a microfluidic chip “eye-on-chip system” to further the knowledge on how microorganisms interact with the ocular surface over time. Your profile: A MSc in Biomedical Sciences, Biology, Biotechnology or related fields. Hands-on experience with bacterial culture or cell culture. Creativity, flexibility and problem-solving mentality. Good communication and writing skills in English. Strong interest in organ-on-chip technologies and disease modelling.
