Head of Department:in IT Infrastructure Solutions
KV Berlin is constantly developing and optimizing its IT landscape. The aim is to sustainably improve the infrastructure and make it future-proof. In the IT Infrastructure Solutions department, you will take responsibility for the stable operation and strategic development of our systems. As head of department, you will help shape structures, processes and projects in a challenging environment in which availability, security and future viability have top priority.
Your area of responsibility
* Management and control of the IT Infrastructure Solutions department with personnel and budget responsibility
* Organization and further development of structures, processes and responsibilities within the department
* Strategic further development of the infrastructure and creation of corresponding concepts
* Ensuring the stable, secure and cost-effective operation of data centers, networks, server and database infrastructures
* Responsibility for IT security measures, data protection, resilience and business continuity management
* Management and quality assurance of external service providers as well as contract and license management
* Supporting projects and specialist departments in the use of new and existing infrastructures
* Management of parallel projects and responsibility for time, costs and quality
* Preparation of decision papers, project and status reports and presentations to committees
* Promoting, developing and motivating employees, including team development and personnel planning
Your profile
* Completed scientific university degree (e.g. computer science, mathematics, natural sciences or engineering) or a comparable qualification with several years of relevant professional experience in the areas of responsibility of this position
* Several years of professional experience in setting up and strategically developing IT infrastructures
* Management experience or demonstrable experience in managing projects in the IT environment
* Sound knowledge in the administration of infrastructure components, servers, networks and databases (e.g. Linux, Windows, PostgreSQL)
* In-depth knowledge of IT security concepts, virtualization, containerization and modern IT operating concepts
* Experience in the use and management of ITIL-oriented processes
* Project management skills, ideally with certifications (e.g. Scrum, IPMA)
* Strong analytical skills, organizational strength and solution-oriented approach
* Strong communication and presentation skills and a confident manner at all levels
* Team-oriented, motivating leader with creative drive and a sense of responsibility
