This is where you'll excel
* Develop novel ALD coating processes for optics and photonics applications
* Initiate and contribute to the design and specification of new coating equipment
* Demonstrate ALD machine capabilities through targeted demo coatings for customers, partners, and internal stakeholders
* Author technical publications and present development results at conferences or symposia
* Support Sales in the market introduction of new coating products and solutions
* Plan and execute R&D projects, public funding projects, and external collaborations-from application through completion, including budgeting, reporting, and compliance
These are the skills you'll need
* PhD (or equivalent) in technical or natural Sciences, preferably in Chemistry
* Severals years of working experience in plasma enhanced ALD and CVD
* Expertise in the operation of ALD / CVD reactors
* Ideally knowledge in the design and deposition of complex interference filters
* Business fluent English, German language skills are of advantage
* An independent way of working as well as willingness to travel worldwide
