To support our team we are looking for an Senior Engineer (all genders) for our Global Core Manufacturing Engineering Team in Aschaffenburg or Freiberg and Schönebeck.
Your tasks:
Define and document process standards, key technologies, and manufacturing / equipment concepts and standards for manufacturing of different types of inflators
Functionally lead, guide, and align the (globally dispersed) core manufacturing engineers and teams for inflators in the regions and/or product groups/ business units
Define standard manufacturing process for inflators, derive standard equipment / technology with consideration of different requirements (e.g. due to wage level, volume)
Coordinate global experts in manufacturing engineering regarding standardization and modularization of manufacturing processes
Analyze potentials for automation and standardization in manufacturing processes, including evaluation of useful and efficient automation
Identify key processes, compare existing approaches and make proposals for improvements, standardization and automation
Drive implementation and continuous improvement of standards together with the regions/plants
Foster and enable global information exchange and benchmarking regarding manufacturing technologies and processes
Align initiatives across regions and divisions
Your profile:
Min 7 years of relevant experience in automotive manufacturing
Min 5 year of relevant experience in the field of inflator manufacturing
University degree in engineering, robotics, computer science, physics or similar
Deep process understanding on manufacturing process for inflators (pyro, stored gas)
Comfortable with functioning in a global matrix operating environment
Multicultural and/or global experience
Business fluent in English, any other language is a plus (especially Chinese, Spanish, Japanese, German, Romanian, Portuguese)
Regular business travel (regularly within Germany/to Italy, appr. 3-4 overseas trips p.a.)
